Where it is, when it runs, and how long the night takes.
A two-story indoor haunted attraction inside the actual old town hall of Lafayette, Ohio. The haunt is built on the legend of Mayor Henry Joseph, whose presence never left the building. Every year the Town Hall is remodeled with new scenes and new surprises, so returning victims never know what is waiting.
103 S High St., Lafayette, OH 45854, about 10 minutes east of Lima. There is no on-site lot; parking is on the surrounding streets. Be kind to the neighbors: do not block driveways or yards. Arrive early and carpool on busy nights.
Fall season, every Friday and Saturday night from late September through Halloween, 7:30 PM to midnight. 2026 opening night is Saturday, September 19, and the season ends Saturday, October 31, Halloween night. Rain or shine: the haunt is fully indoors, and only extreme severe weather would ever cause a cancellation.
Around 16 to 20 minutes inside, depending on how fast you run.
Fridays and the September opener are the lightest. The Saturdays closest to Halloween run 2 to 3 hour waits at peak. Everyone in line by midnight gets through, even if we run past closing.

Prices, group rates, and how buying works in 2026.
General admission is $15 and every ticket is good for any open night. Buy online at hauntedtownhall.com, or at the ticket booth on event nights. The booth is cash only; to pay with a card, buy online right from your phone, even standing in line. A card processing fee is shown clearly at checkout before you pay.
Your tickets arrive by text message as a QR code the moment you buy, with an email copy as backup. No printing, no app. Show the QR at the door and walk in.
Your ticket page has one master QR that admits the whole group at once, plus individual tickets you can text to friends arriving separately. If only part of your group shows up, the unused tickets stay good for any other open night.
Yes. Fast Pass is $25 and takes you to the front of the line. All ticket types are the same price for any age.
Haunt plus the Speakeasy escape room is $20. Fast Pass plus haunt plus Speakeasy is $35.
Groups of 10 or more pay $12 per person; the group rate applies automatically in your cart. Groups of 20 or more, contact us before buying so we can coordinate arrival.
Yes, there is a code field at checkout. Codes come from our radio partners, flyers, and socials. One code per order.
No. All sales are final under all circumstances, including if you get too scared to finish. That said, your ticket never expires within the season: can't make it tonight, come any other open night.

How intense it gets, and the house rules that keep it safe.
Yes. Darkness, sudden scares, loud noises, strobe lighting, fog, and characters who get very close. There are emergency exits throughout if it becomes too much. No refunds for chickening out.
No. They will get close, but they will not touch you, and you may not touch them. Strict no-contact rule, both directions.
No strict minimum, but it is not recommended for kids under about 10, and very young children and infants will not be admitted. Under 16 should come with an adult.
No costumes, masks, or face paint; you could be mistaken for an actor. Closed-toe shoes strongly recommended.
Weapons or sharp objects, alcohol or drugs, smoking or vaping or open flames, flashlights or laser pointers or glow sticks, large bags or backpacks, cameras or recording inside the haunt, food or drink, pets. Breaking the rules gets you removed without a refund.
Strobe lighting, fog effects, loud sound, and intense scenes throughout. Not recommended for people with epilepsy, heart conditions, pregnancy, severe asthma, or panic conditions. You enter at your own risk.
Yes. Security staff monitor the attraction and the queue, and on busy nights local law enforcement is on site. Zero tolerance for violence, vandalism, intoxication, or touching actors.
Unfortunately no. The building is a historic multi-level structure with stairs, narrow passages, and no elevators, and it is not ADA compliant. If you have a temporary mobility injury we recommend sitting this season out for your safety.

A five-minute escape experience next to the main haunt: $5 per person with a haunt ticket, $7 on its own. New experience for 2026; details coming.
Yes. Haunted Town Hall shirts, hoodies, and collectibles at the merch stand, plus concessions and a rotating food truck outside the attraction.
